On looking over this report again, I think it may be another issue that I see with my static IP connection. Matt, there is a little icon in the lower-left corner of Evolution. Does this show that you are connected or disconnected?
On my system, Evolution has begun (since Feisty) to do this thing where- by it sets the status to "disconnected" on start-up, probably because network-manager thinks there is no connection (because of the static IP setup). After clicking this connected/disconnected button (the one in the lower-left corner), however, Evolution operates normally.
