I'd be willing to do memory profiling - I don't know how, and would need some assistance in getting it done. I have noticed that if gnome-shell is running for a couple of days, I run up towards 400 MB of memory used, and the system starts to feel sluggish. Logging out and back in, or restarting the gnome-shell reduce RAM usage to 67 MB, and restore system performance. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1718552 Title: gnome-shell uses lots of memory To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1718552/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
