1.) ssh is dead as is the complete ip stack. see the syslog attachment.

2.) moving away /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/gs-
plugins-11/libgs_plugin_fwupd.so will open gnome-software and is a
workaround (btw. if one closes gnome-software via "X" it does close the
window but the process lingers forever ...)

3.) after i saw that gnome-software had a problem with opening the USB mouse i 
tried to look for the device via lsusb -v ... where things got interesting.
lsusb -v works as user but as root it crashes the machine too - so this indeed 
looks like a kernel issue
