The command gives me the following output: ~$ /usr/lib/gnome-applets/gnome-keyboard-applet GTK Accessibility Module initialized Bonobo accessibility support initialized ~$ Nothing appears to happen. If I do the above, and then do "Add Panel" > Keyboard indicator, then it indeed appears as expected, but causes problems in the future on subsequent logins.
