This is a quite old bug. I tried with nautilus 1:3.18.4.is.4.14.3-0ubuntu5 on Ubuntu 16.04.
I can confirm that the special folders like "Home", "Network" and "Trash" do not show icon caption, but I do not know if this is intended or not, since the caption does not appear even when "icon caption" option is set back to None. Finally, all the other files or folders created on the Desktop, show correctly the expected caption. If the last behavior is not intended for the special icons, I think this bug can be closed. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to the bug report. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1413117 Title: icon captions info on desktop don't disappear To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1413117/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
