I run into this problem after upgrade from Ubuntu 14.04 to Ubuntu 16.04 All suggested solutions didn't work well for me. But I found another very simple one. I found the obsolete file in my home directory: /home/current_user/.config/autostart/polkit-gnome-authentication-agent-1.desktop After removing it everything runs well.
