Public bug reported: File Roller 3.16.5, running on Ubuntu 16.4.1 LTS 64-bit When trying to rename a file in a zip-archive, FR shows a message "An error occurred while renaming the files."
When trying to delete a file (or group of files): "An error occurred while deleting files from the archive." In both cases, the zip file is unchanged as a result. As a workaround (and also a way to confirm that the zip file itself is not damaged), I use WinZip running on Wine. ** Affects: file-roller (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to file-roller in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1623298 Title: File roller cannot rename a file inside a .zip file, also cannot delete files in it To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/file-roller/+bug/1623298/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
