I don't know how long it's been there for as it's hard to notice, but I
noticed it a few days ago, there seems to be a grey border on the top
and right edges of my screen in the same kind of colour as the
login/locked screen for GNOME. As can be seen in the attached screenshot
(I have edited the image to replace all but the bits I want to point out
with white):
