Sorry for the multiple posts. - I resolved the problem on my system by deleting the /home/username/.local/share/Trash directory. Then when deleting a file from Nautilus or Thunar, it re-created the Trash directory and after that it successfully moves deleted files to trash and no longer crashes Nautilus or Thunar.
