Public bug reported: When I boot Feisty Herd 4's "Desktop" CD, in the middle of the gnome login, my display goes to sleep. Wiggling my mouse when it goes to sleep wakes the display back up just fine, though. When I go into the "Control Center" under the "System" menu and look at the screensaver preferences, it is set to "Regard the computer as idle after 10 minutes". Also, under "Power Management", the option to "Put display to sleep when inactive" is set to 40 minutes. I am very sure that the boot is under 3 minutes and shouldn't have been idle long enough to put the thing into sleep mode.
