I seem to have the same problem with a little twist: I have the copy/ paste issue - it is intermittent but very annoying
But when I use F2 to edit a filename in Nautilus I would normally expect the filename to be highlighted, without the extension. What actually happens is the filename is highlighted briefly and then the cursor moves to the end of the file with no highlight. I can't seem to actually highlight the name.
