Public bug reported: Binary package hint: hal-device-manager
Hal device manager is hard to use - I am unable to find the Make of the CPU (AMD Turion(tm) 64 Mobile Technology ML-32) or the Speed of the CPU from the HAL device manager. It would be great if the HAL device manager produced a hirearchical overview of the computer in Human-friendly language, like the command lshw does. For finding the Make and Speed of my cpu in lshw, I don't have to look too far :) See http://carthik.net/files/acer-5003.html for the output of lshw. ** Affects: hal (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- HAL Device Manager is hard to use https://launchpad.net/bugs/86191 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
