Public bug reported: I'm on 14.04 (3.13.0-46 Generic) and using the GNOME Flashback (metacity) desktop - IF I select the icon to access Shutdown, logout, about, etc, and I select Shutdown, there is a dialog popup that asks me to confirm that I want to shutdown. Today I decided that I did not want to shutdown, so I selected the [cancel] button - and the system shutdown anyway. I tried again and it is very repeatable - either button shuts down the system.
