I have got the same problem on Ubuntu 14.04 64bit (with all available updates), but I'm using the file manager Nemo (version: 1.8.4). Closing all file manager windows and reopen them temporarily fixes the problem. However this is very annoying if you have got a lot of windows/tabs open...
