Public bug reported: I'm not sure if this bug applies to other apps, but I could only make it happen in gedit. To reproduce in 14.10beta2: 1. open gedit 2. type some text 3. select some text with keyboard (i.e. shift + arrow keys) 4. move the mouse pointer above gedit window
Result: the pointer is flickering or disappearing completely ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.10 Package: gedit 3.10.4-0ubuntu5 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.16.0-18.25-generic 3.16.3 Uname: Linux 3.16.0-18-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.14.7-0ubuntu2 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: Unity Date: Wed Oct 1 15:51:44 2014 InstallationDate: Installed on 2014-09-29 (2 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 14.10 "Utopic Unicorn" - Alpha amd64 (20140923) ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=en_US PATH=(custom, no user) XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=<set> LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: gedit UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: gedit (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug utopic -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gedit in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1376494 Title: gedit hides mouse pointer when there is selected text To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gedit/+bug/1376494/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
