Public bug reported: I had a Nautilus window that had been open for hours and had "survived" more than one suspend/resume of the computer. I used it every once in a while, as I usually do.
Then I brought it to front to do some stuff (after maybe a few hours of not using it) and it suddenly was unusably slow in responding to mouse interaction. - When opening any folder (folder with little contents which usually take a fraction of a second to open) it would take up to 10 or 15 seconds to show the contents (during that time it would show an empty window as if the folder was empty, with no indication whatsoever that it was loading or waiting) - When scrolling, either with the touchpad two-fingers scroll or with the scrollbar, it would take several seconds to render the scrolling. I closed and relaunched Nautilus and it fixed the issue.
