Public bug reported: When I start gedit from the terminal, and go to Edit --> Preferences, and then close the Preferences window, I get the error message "Gtk- CRITICAL **: gtk_tree_selection_get_selected: assertion `GTK_IS_TREE_SELECTION (selection)' failed" in the terminal window.
