Not sure if this is related: Doing a simple dd didn't work for me either. I tried this to just create an .iso from the CD (/dev/cdrom, /dev/cdrw etc. are all symlinks to /dev sr0.): $ dd if=/dev/sr0 of=/tmp/audiocd.iso dd: reading ‘/dev/sr0’: Input/output error 0+0 records in 0+0 records out 0 bytes (0 B) copied, 0.0026843 s, 0.0 kB/s
isoinfo (described on http://www.troubleshooters.com/linux/coasterless.htm#_Accurately_Reading_a_CD) also didn't work: $ sudo isoinfo -d -i /dev/cdrom isoinfo: No such file or directory. Cannot open ' /dev/cdrom'. Cannot open SCSI driver. isoinfo: No such file or directory. Unable to open /dev/cdrom As a workaround, i'm now ripping the CD with Asunder (as .wav) and will then use Brasero to create a new audio CD. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to brasero in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/878339 Title: Copy disk - disk to copy disappears when 'copy' button clicked To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/brasero/+bug/878339/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
