Public bug reported: I've tried to add several files (text, jpg,png and zip) and folders to a pre-existing archive. If I'm adding any file to the root of the archive then everything's fine but if I attempt to add any number of files or folders to a subdirectory within the archive then I get the message that an error has occurred when adding the files.
http://imgur.com/Vb8Hy1m This happens with RAR, Zip and 7z archives (possibly others) that were initially created on Ubuntu, There is no special character in any of the file names and with the RAR archive the same result happens when it's password protected. I added a new folder containing a file to a new zip archive via bash and the zip command. zip -g Arch.zip folder/minecraft.svg following adding another file to the same directory zip -g Arch.zip folder/Image.svg Which succeeded successfully. ** Affects: file-roller (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: file-roller -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to file-roller in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1175288 Title: Cannot Add Files to Sub-Directory in Pre-existing Archive To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/file-roller/+bug/1175288/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
