I have to disagree with most of Jeremy's comments
This is only a means to present an "open with" context menu option in nautilus
which doesn't exist.
After actually using there are only 2 options, "Open" (nautilus) & "Open With",
not 4

How the user populates the "Open With" sub menu is up to the user,
that's what options are for (when they exist

The Open With sub menu is not just for alt. FM's, can be useful for A/V dir.'s
& what ever else the user desires
Anything that appears in the sub menu that isn't desired can be user removed
from the Open With menu with a r. click on > "Forget application"

** Attachment added: "context menu of audio file dir."
