Public bug reported:

The thumbnail previews for files like JPGs, PDFs etc are not showing up
in nautilus. Tried deleting ~/.thumbnails, and also tried creating a
fresh user. Same behavior was observed.

Here is a log from ~/.xsession-errors :

mentions the same error, but no malfunctions.

Interestingly, if I open a directory inside nautilus where there are
supposed to be thumbnails, I see nautilus' processor usage goes up,
sometimes to 100%, and it goes down when I close it.

I suspect it is also eating up my hard disk space, but can't be sure.
I'd love some help on this. :)
