With the open radeon driver, I found a way to fix this problem. If I modify the GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT line in /etc/default/grub and add "radeon.audio=1", the HDMI output is always visible in the list of outputs.
my /etc/default/grub line now looks like this: GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash radeon.audio=1 radeon.pcie_gen2=1" Hope this helps -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/956378 Title: Flash Plugin has no sound after unplugging HDMI cable To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/956378/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
