It's tracking the status in GNOME's bugzilla - they marked it as a dupe. If I were you I wouldn't get your hopes up on this feature being included. They'd rather sniff glue than put any design effort into their programs, so you might as well install a different file manager at this point. This request is six years old and will still be here until Gnome finally dies.
