Okay guys, thanks for your consideration. It looks like we're all experiencing this issue on the following hardware products running Ubuntu: Dell E and XPS series & HP DV6t QE7000. Looking at the list of Ubuntu's releases, it looks like 11.04 (Natty) will be EOLed soon, more exactly October 2012.
