Public bug reported: (This is a small usability issue.)
When I use the "Connect to Server" dialog in Nautilus I fill in the dialog from top down. My FTP server is on a custom port. I now have my IP addres and custom port filled in. When I change the drop down from "Public FTP" to "FTP (with login)", as the server requires log in, the dialog discards my custom port but keeps my IP address. This is a frustrting little paper cut that I encounter quite often. I think the dropdown change should not discard a custom port, if the user entered one. Another solution could be changing the "type" drop down to the first line of the dialog. ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1041567 Title: Connecting to server discards custom port when changing Type To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1041567/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
