Hi Clint, after your comment I did some investigation. First of all I can confirm I have no filter applied on my library.
After some test I found that the problem with missing pictures on my library is a picture ordering problem (should we change the title of the bug?) In fact I noticed that last imported pictures are at the bottom of the library while these pictures should be at top (I have pictures ordered by date, desc). So the situation now (I can always reproduce this) is: My library starts with a picture from 15 Jul 2012 and I have all the pictures well ordered until 3 Sept 2004 After these pictures I have some pictures with no date at all (don't ask me why :) ) then 6 videos imported from an iPhone with date 1 Jan 1904 (unix date I think) and then I have my last imported pictures (the missing ones) from 31 Jul 2012 and (strange again) a lot of videos from 2012, 2011 and 2010 (ordered). Some more info. If I press F8 while watching my library and then I click the Video type button filter for 2 times, then the library become well ordered. If I press F8 and then click 2 times Pictures type button filter the library remains unordered (same if I press raw type button) So the hint to have my library well ordered is to press the Video button filter 2 times. One more problem: after this action pictures with date 1 Jan 1904 are displayed before pictures with date 31 Jul 2012 and this is wrong. Hope this help, I can add more info if you ask me.
