Public bug reported: Every once in a while (let's say approximately 1 in 10) after opening gnome-power-statistics via the battery icon, the gnome-power-statistics process seemed to continue running even when the window is closed.
I now noticed that it does that every time I use the red close X button from the window controls, while it works if the actual Close button in the window contents is used. On the next opening, the statistics window opens (still only one gnome- power-statistics process running) but it's empty - closing and re- opening still only opens an empty window. If killing the process from command line manually, the statistics again work. Since I apparently obsessively want to see the charging percentage, I saw this quite often, until now finding out how it occurs. ** Affects: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1003840 Title: gnome-power-statistics process lingers when closing via window control close button (X), preventing further checking of battery details To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-power-manager/+bug/1003840/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
