You have been subscribed to a public bug: Printing to a file using the gnome print dialog in Precise produces a dialog containing a default filename. If you change that default filename, it removes the handy .pdf provided by the default, requiring you to provide your own 4 keystrokes '.pdf'.
It would be nicer if it would add .pdf back to your name unless you provide your own ext, such as '.xyz' or '.', the latter of which would omit any ext. $ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Release: 12.04 $ ** Affects: gtk+3.0 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Confirmed ** Tags: bot-comment file pdf print -- Print to file dialog does not add extension to modified file name https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1000274 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gtk+3.0 in Ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
