Looks like there is different problems described there. On my feisty desktop printing to a PDF works fine. If you select a printer you can print using "multiple pages per sheet", it looks like that the option is not available when printing to a file only and gtk-demo does the same which means the behaviour is due to GTK and not evince.
Marking the bug fixed since the feisty version prints to PDF without any problem, the GTK printing options when printing to a file is not an evince problem and you should open an another bug about that if you want You wrote "I think, KDE/Qt has much better print dialogue because of complete feature set", that comment is not true and not useful. The GTK dialog has all sort of options too if you select a printer, they are just not enabled when printing to a file ** Changed in: evince (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Ubuntu Desktop Bugs Status: Confirmed => Fix Released -- Printing to file with GTK+ dialogue (ie in Evince) not contain PDF-option and other features https://launchpad.net/bugs/78839 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
