Same here. I don't always encounter the problem, but I think the longer the Laptop runs, the chances are bigger that it won't shut down. Dell Studio 1558. Ubuntu 12.04 64 Bit. Fresh install. As far as I can remember I didn't have the problem in 10.04 and it started after I made an upgrade to 10.11 or 11.04 - but I'm not 100% sure. I thought a fresh install could solve it, but no success.
