Public bug reported: i installed some x11 cursor theme through the synaptic package manager. they ended up in the theme manager (the window, icon and control manager). don't ask why but i clicked on one knowing it was a cursor theme... i then lost everything (display) but my cursor and the wall paper that was there... i couldn't right click or do anything except to move the mouse around.
i called a friend who helped me boot with the terminal to delete the .gconf directory. then he asked me to open my gnome session... i got the display back (original one) and every thing is fine... there's probably something wrong with the x11 cursor theme available in the synaptic package manager... ;) ** Affects: control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- theme crashes https://launchpad.net/bugs/77864 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
