I am affected by this as well in 12.04 and in 11.10 before that. If this is not a bug then at least a flawed design. The interface is such that intuitively you do not log out, but just point and click to switch to the desired user account. This then leaves you unintentionally with multiple users logged in, and when you (administrator) want to shut down you are in trouble.
I think this bug/flaw has nothing to do with Oneric / 32 bit. I think it effects everybody. It should be very easy to reproduce by switching to Guest Session, then switch back (without log-out), and then try to shut down. There should be a solution for this. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-session in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/872054 Title: Cannot shutdown/restart with multiple users logged in To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/indicator-session/+bug/872054/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
