Public bug reported: Text in the “Now playing” field in Rhythmbox is aligned in such a way that the descender of letters (everything below the baseline, most obvious with lowercase letters “g” and “y”) are cut off. Tested on all standard themes and default font size. Attached screenshot visualizes problem on Radiance theme.
