it does have a "PICTURES" folder Renaming it makes the MP3 mount like a USB memory stick. But of course I can't access the pictures on the device (using the devices OS) it also has a "MUSIC" folder, but Rhythmbox loaded everything at the root directory... though moving things didn't seem to change it. Nautilus also tells me on the indicator that appears above the tab bar that it is a Picture CD.
