Public bug reported:

edubuntu beta2 usb live - 20120326 - I am a non-edubuntu user with
administrative priviledges, nevertheless I cannot shutdown the system
(see bug 930977), so I open a terminal and run "sudo init 0", I am
prompted for my passwd and I type it. The system correctly shuts down
and I reboot, logout from edubuntu and login as the previous
administrative user. I open a terminal and type the bottom-up arrow to
see my last commands and the first displayed line is my password that I
typed as the very last thing before shutting down the system!!
