Public bug reported: The minimum display brightness level should switch off the display, not just dim the display. This makes it possible to voluntarily switch off the display of a laptop; currently you must wait for the inactivity timeout to power it off.
The brightness levels should be, similarly to Mac OS and Windows, something like OFF - 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 not the current 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 ** Affects: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/960135 Title: Minimum brightness level should switch off the display To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-power-manager/+bug/960135/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
