I have no objections against packaging gcr, if it does not conflict with existing packages.
gnome-keyring is a very sensitive piece in the stack, and 3.4 got a lot of code an structural changes, so I'm very hesitant to upgrade it at this point. It's used by a lot of programs, not just empathy but also nm-applet, ubuntuone, launchpadlib, etc. So far it was not necessary to update the packages, so we rather kept the known-good one. Is it realistically possible to patch gnome-shell to run with libgnome- keyring 3.2? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-keyring in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/947447 Title: [FFe] gnome-keyring/seahorse 3.4 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-keyring/+bug/947447/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
