Public bug reported: I added two accounts to gnome "Online Accounts" (part of gnome-control- center): a msn account and a gmail account (as you can see here: http://imm.io/h6KK)
After adding the two accounts, Empathy try to import both accounts but fails to connect. It keeps asking my gtalk password and saying that couldn't connect to msn due a "network error" (as seen in here: http://imm.io/h6Md). The problem persists no matter what I do (disconnect and reconnect, write the password again, etc, etc). If I delete the accounts and add then manually, on emapthy, instead of using the "Online Accounts" setting of gnome-control-center, I'm able to connect without problems - but only on gtalk, though, msn connects but Empathy doesn't display any of my contacts (see Bug #939070, https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/empathy/+bug/939070) ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 Package: empathy 3.3.5-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.2.0-17.26-generic 3.2.6 Uname: Linux 3.2.0-17-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: wl ApportVersion: 1.92-0ubuntu1 Architecture: amd64 Date: Wed Feb 22 20:55:24 2012 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 11.10 "Oneiric Ocelot" - Release amd64 (20111012) SourcePackage: empathy UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to precise on 2012-02-21 (1 days ago) ** Affects: empathy (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Confirmed ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug empathy precise -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to empathy in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/939090 Title: Empathy can't log on accounts created using "Gnome Online Accounts" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/empathy/+bug/939090/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
