I guess it is not related to this bug, but it is something else. When I tried different kernels I got a bug that the system was almost blocked. In my case the cause was that kernel was writing gigabyte log files. I am no expert, but I guess it is kernel related, you should try using different kernels and see what happens on your hardware. And check the system (memory, cpu temp, hdd for bad clusters, etc.) also.
