Sebastien, I'm running libcairo2 with installed version 1.2.4-1ubuntu2 which provides /usr/lib/libcairo.so.2.9.2 I browsed to http://cairographics.org/ and they claim to have released a new stable version cairo-1.2.6 on 2 November 2006. At http://cairographics.org/news/cairo-1.2.6 I find: - Fix cairo_image_surface_create to report INVALID_FORMAT errors. Previously the detected error was being lost and a nil surface was returned that erroneously reported CAIRO_STATUS_NO_MEMORY.
