This bug still appears for me. It is entirely reproducible. If I open an iso file using Brasero with a blank disk already in the burner, I can open the iso, but the blank disk is not available to write (greyed out). If I wait till I've opened the iso and then insert a blank disk, I can then write the iso to the disk. The problem is consistent in Oneiric and now in Precise. I can try to get more information if you tell me what to do.
