Unsetting the keyboard settings did nothing. The down arrow and end
keys operate exactly the same way as before. Here is how they are set
now:

gsettings get org.gnome.libgnomekbd.keyboard layouts
@as []
gsettings get org.gnome.libgnomekbd.keyboard model
''
gsettings get org.gnome.libgnomekbd.keyboard options
@as []

Here's how they were set before:

gsettings get org.gnome.libgnomekbd.keyboard layouts
['us', 'us\tdvorak', 'jp', 'ru\tphonetic']
gsettings get org.gnome.libgnomekbd.keyboard model
'microsoftelite'
gsettings get org.gnome.libgnomekbd.keyboard options
['grp\tgrp:alts_toggle', 'Compose key\tcompose:lwin',
'terminate\tterminate:ctrl_alt_bksp', 'altwin\taltwin:alt_super_win', 'Compose
key\tcompose:menu']
