bf, I agree with you. In Adobe Acrobat reader it is possible, and it would be very useful to add support for this tool in Evince. I often need to get copies of limited areas of the documents that that I'm working with, but the only way to do it when you are using Evince is by obtaining a full screenshot, and editing it with an image editor (Pinta or another). I'm not sure, but it seems to be that Okular supports this feature. In reply to Marcel, you are right. With Evince you can select an image, copy it and then paste in the workspace of another application, but it isn't the same that being able to select and copy any area that you need.
I hope that you can bring this tool to Evince. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evince in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/796188 Title: Feature Request: Tool: Save screenshot of area to clipboard To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/evince/+bug/796188/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
