Public bug reported:
Printing on SMB / CIFS printers does not work with current Ubuntu
Dapper. When taking a look at the printer properties following status is
shown: "Ready: Unable to connect to CIFS host, will retry in 60
seconds..."
The point is a) this worked with Ubuntu Breezy, b) the server name, user
name and password are correctly set up and the printer name is also
correctly shown in the "connection -> printer" drop down field when the
printer is created.
Hint: I observed that the user name (connection tab) always disappears
when the printer properties tool is closed and reopened again.
