I have the same behavior with precise (x64). Twin-View works but with separate X-screen setup, nautilus crashes when right-clicking on the white background in the second (hdmi-)screen (:0.1). Only possible option to use that :0.1 -screen: moving the mouse in that screen (to move focus to it), open a terminal with Ctrl-Alt-t. Now one can open any application but nautilus from within that terminal in the second screen. Nautilus does always open in the first screen (:0.0), even when invoked from that terminal. Other applications I've tested did open in screen :0.1
