i have this problem too. Ubuntu version - 11.10 keyboard set to UK There are 9 hotkeys across top of keyboard, only web, mail and search buttons work. If I try and add extra shortcut for say, help, it shows press shortcut key but does not respond to pressing the hotkey with the '?' The Internet, Email and Search Shortcuts work this way though, even though they were set automatically.
