I have the same problem in a 64 bits Ubuntu 11.04. The problem seems related to Dropbox.
When Nautilus crashes, opening it from a terminal (with Dropbox opened) yields: emrys@emryslaptop:~$ nautilus ** (nautilus:15647): DEBUG: SyncDaemon already running, initializing SyncdaemonDaemon object Initializing nautilus-gdu extension Initializing nautilus-open-terminal extension (nautilus:15647): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_action_set_visible: assertion `GTK_IS_ACTION (action)' failed (nautilus:15647): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_action_set_visible: assertion `GTK_IS_ACTION (action)' failed Segmentation fault If I close Dropbox and try again, Nautilus opens without problems, just a bunch of messages ("(nautilus:16882): GConf-CRITICAL **: gconf_client_get: assertion `GCONF_IS_CLIENT (client)' failed") in the terminal, but no crash. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/873987 Title: Nautilus crashes (segmentation fault) after upgrade to Ubuntu 11.10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/873987/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
