Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. I have tried to reproduce this on Natty with the latest updates installed, with the same version of gcalctool ( 6.0.1~git20110421-0ubuntu1), but 5+8i+i shows 5+9i as a result, as expected, and I could not reproduce the issue you have reported. Could you please try to reproduce it again, and if you are able, please give more detailed instructions on how to reproduce, and maybe a screenshot too. Also note that I have tried both the command line interface and the gnome interface, but both show correct results.
