Public bug reported:

When using file-roller to extract files from an archive, in the file
chooser dialog where one can choose the target folder to extract to,
there is a "Create Folder" button that allows the user to create new
folders on the fly from withing the file chooser dialog.

This works fine in all folders except the user's ~/Desktop folder - when
navigating to the desktop folder and clicking the "Create Folder"
button, a new entry appears in the file list, with the text "Type name
of new folder" highlighted to allow easy replacing - but the entry
immediately disappears as if the ESC button was pressed. Sometimes it
disappears almost immediately and you can only see a slight flicker,
while in other cases the entry persist enough time to allow the user to
type in a few characters - but in all cases the entry is canceled after
a few seconds at most.

Again, create a new folder works as expected in all cases I've tried,
except when trying to do this at the user's ~/Desktop folder.
