Just tested, still the case with:
gnome-screenshot:
  Installed: 3.2.0-0ubuntu1
  Candidate: 3.2.0-0ubuntu1
  Version table:
 *** 3.2.0-0ubuntu1 0

Make a screenshot from terminal window only (via shortcut), name it test-1, 
save it to a folder. 
Repeat the procedure, it refuses to replace the first test-1.
